3 Things I Learned From My Psychic Reading
You know those moments where you pause and think "wait, where am I going with my life?" Well, I asked myself that question seriously within a week of being abroad in Ireland. And like any rational person would react to this crisis, I impulsively bought a psychic reading online.
In my search for a reading, I found https://twitter.com/ANCIENTWlSDOM. After reading some really profound posts, I decided that this would be the person to do my reading because it seemed that her readings offered a lot of insight on many aspects, including: business, the present, and future. I wanted someone to give me a little direction in the middle of me questioning a lot of aspects within my life. I then messaged them my birthday and the time that I was born and received my very detailed reading. Here's three things I learned from this reading:

After reading some really profound posts, I decided that this would be the person to do my reading because it seemed that her readings offered a lot of insight on many aspects, including: business, the present, and future. I wanted someone to give me a little direction in the middle of me questioning a lot of aspects within my life. I then messaged them my birthday and the time that I was born and received my very detailed reading. Here's three things I learned from this reading:
1. "Your views may change and evolve over time but your ability to reconcile old ways with new puts your soul in the unique position of being able to soak up knowledge and experience at levels most people will never achieve."
At first, reading this quote confused me. But, I realized that the experience of studying abroad puts me in this position. Mind you, I didn't tell them I was studying abroad; but the value that studying abroad has is put into words here. As I experience another culture in-depth for the first time, this rings true.
2. "You have strong but dormant psychic abilities and a high aptitude for divination and other skills where connectedness to the spirit realm are necessary."
I won't be investing in a crystal ball anytime soon, but I'll reference this anytime I have a gut feeling and I'm starting to waver. I've always considered myself an intuitive person; "it's like I have ESPN or something" (I couldn't resist the Mean Girls quote opportunity here).
3. "A word of caution: Be mindful not to allow your search for spiritual enlightenment overcome your life and close relationships."
It was eerie reading this for the first time because I have been on a "soul search" since arriving in Ireland and this reminded me to still engage with getting to know myself, but not at the expense of relationships I value. I've found it difficult to balance talking to friends and family back home and experiencing everything I can at Maynooth University. Also, I feel that this advice could be applied widely because there's probably a lot of people who dive deeply in work, school, and other projects like myself. We have to remind ourselves that is alright to do, but sometimes the consequence is that you may lose opportunities and connections that are more valuable than straight A's or a promotion.
That's what I learned from my reading! If you've ever had a psychic reading, please feel free to share any insights. Thanks for reading my first post!
I have always liked the insights from psychic/horoscope type materials. Not that I believe in it at all, but its so weird how it seems to hit the nail on the head sometimes.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I find myself believing in it more when I see how much research goes into it. Thanks for the insight!
